Heavy materials (brick, concrete) effectively block low frequencies but transmit structural noise (vibrations). Lightweight fabric membranes on their own are acoustically transparent. The LuxeSpan engineering solution integrates an acoustic PET absorber inside a reinforced aluminium frame between two layers of fabric. The sound wave passes through the fabric and gets trapped in the dense PET absorber. To achieve real sound insulation (Rw), a heavy viscoelastic membrane (MLV) is additionally integrated in the centre of the frame. The resulting acoustic sandwich — absorption-reflection-absorption — blocks airborne noise transmission, allowing you to watch TV in one zone without disturbing rest in another.
